Price
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson and 2021 Toyota RAV4 are similar in price on paper and if you pay cash, it’s true that there isn’t a huge difference between the two. If you are financing or leasing, however, there are pretty important differences.
The Tucson is available at just 2.49% financing on 60 months, and 2.99% financing on 84 months. It’s leasing rates start at 3.99% for 36 months and a 60-month lease is available at 4.49%.
Either way, you get better value in the Tucson. The 2021 Toyota RAV4 has a 3.99% lease rate on 84 months and 3.89% on 60 months. The 60-month lease rate is 4.99% while the 36-month lease is identical to the Tucson. In other words, you are paying more in interest on the 2021 Toyota RAV4.
Interior Space
There is more interior legroom in the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The leg room is rated at 1,052/1,050 mm (front/back) while the 2021 Toyota RAV4’s legroom is rated at 1,040/960 mm (front/back). There’s over 3,000 litres of interior space in the Tucson, more than the CR-V, Nissan Rogue and Toyota RAV4.
Cargo Space
Cargo space is also more generous in the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The RAV4 has 1,059 litres of cargo space with all seats in place and 1.977 litres of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson, on the other hand, has 1,095 litres with all seats in place and 2,119 litres with the rear seats folded.
