Hyundai Canada recently announced a unique addition to its vehicle lineup: the 2024 Santa Fe NHL Edition, available exclusively in Canada. This announcement marks a significant step in Hyundai's ongoing partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL), National Hockey League Player’s Association (NHLPA), and NHL Alumni Association (NHLAA).

The Santa Fe NHL Edition sets itself apart with several distinctive features. Personalization is a key aspect, as buyers can choose Luxwood door sills and WeatherTech floor and cargo liners adorned with the logo of their favorite NHL team. The exterior of the vehicle boasts a "Creamy White" matte finish, paired with 20-inch, multi-spoke black alloy wheels, unique to this edition.

The partnership began in 2022 and was further strengthened by a deal with Connor Bedard, the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Under the hood, the Santa Fe NHL Edition is based on the Ultimate Calligraphy trim and is powered by a turbocharged hybrid powertrain. This setup delivers a combined output of 232 horsepower and a maximum torque of 271 lb.-ft. Notably, this powertrain is exclusive to the NHL Edition, as other Santa Fe Ultimate Calligraphy models are equipped with a 2.5L gasoline engine.

The interior of the Santa Fe NHL Edition is equally impressive, featuring a Pecan brown color scheme and modern amenities. It includes a dual wireless charging system for smartphones, a powerful USB-C terminal, and a third-row USB port. Additionally, the vehicle offers a UV-C sterilization compartment in the glove compartment for sanitizing personal items. A 12-speaker Bose premium sound system enhances the in-car audio experience.
